Miss Gbagyi Nigeria beauty Pageant, Can we go digital... - Shedy Elisha

By Shedy Elisha - August 21, 2018

With appropriate respect accorded to "Miss Gbagyi Beauty pageant organisers", I want to note that it is high time you(organisers) introduce  " Online Voting".
Yes! I know alot of people will say Online voting can be hacked and manipulated but the truth is, with a good programmer, we can make it safe. Online voting is used at Miss Nigeria beauty pageant, Miss Universe and at other pageant contest either before the manual screening or after manual screening. (some beauty pageant organisers even do it during the grand finale). We have gone too far and we have grown to still be conducting our pageant events manually 'ONLY'. Manual screening alone is not enough. Though it does have its advantages but it does not connotes professionalism in its entirety when it comes to beauty pageant standard.
The world has advanced and technology is available for us to use to make things easier and more professional. We have been left behind, let's hasten up to meet up.
For God's sake, we have Gbagyi computer gurus who knows programming, contact them. Lets use professional hands in picking those that will represent both the old and young gbagyiza.
Online voting gives opportunity to the public(Gbagyi nations) to also make their choice. The power to choose who becomes  the next miss Gbagyi does not only rest on the organisers and the judges alone, NO!. The Gbagyi public too have a say and its through the online voting. The public knows who they want, who can work and who they think can serve them better.
Finally, I do not say the manual screening process should be eliminated but I am saying Online voting should be included in the whole pageant process to make it efficient and professional.
Miss Gbagyi beauty pageant organisers, can we be more professional and apply beauty pageant etiquettes...? Yes, its possible!
I am saying this because Miss Gbagyi beauty pageant is the only beauty pageant I am culturally, ethnically and tribally connected to.
Some will not appreciate it that I made it public but its pertinent I go this way so that it will quicken us.
Online voting is a  necessary step in choosing our next Queen and in giving a voice to Gbagyi people to make their choice of who will serve and represent us better. We deserve and we want a lively working Queen. Let's be more innovative.
Thank you.
